  • Horden residents urged to love their neighbours!

the launch of the good neighbour agreement

Our Good Neighbour, Good Landlord and Good Letting Agents Agreement was officially launched on Valentine's day by Durham County Council's cabinet member for housing, Councillor Clive Robson.

As part of our plan to sustain and develop Horden's numbered streets, we have worked alongside local housing providers Castledene and Acorn to draw up an agreement of 25 standards backed by 11 local organisations, including Horden Residents' Association, which will improve life for residents.

The standards put a responsibility on residents to, for example, consider neighbours, report anti-social behaviour, make sure children are good neighbours, maintain homes, keep yards clean and manage pets.

Our annual performance report for 2010/11 is now available to view online or download.

A summary has been printed and sent to all our residents.

We have worked closely with our residents this year to improve our services. They have challenged our performance in a number of areas, helped us set targets for future improvements, and worked with us to agree our local offers.

Please read the report. If you would like to work with us to check we are meeting the standards, or get involved in any other way, please call the resident involvement team on 01274 717500 or email yourviews@accentgroup.org.

Please take a few minutes to complete our survey to tell us what you think of the report.
